 Easy and Delicious Keema Curry

No difficult process!  From now on, I will introduce a simple and delicious keema curry that you just mix!!

Also, leftover curry can be changed into various dishes depending on the arrangement.

Do you know the difference between "dry curry" and " keema curry" ?

Keema curry refers to a curry that uses minced meat, and the amount of water is irrelevant.

In comparison, dry curry refers to curry with less water, and the ingredients can be anything.

In other words, dry curry that uses minced meat is called 'keema curry', and keema curry that contains less water

can be called 'dry curry' in Japanese. To say dry curry in Japanese means that dry curry originated in Japan.

 

Did you know that dru curry originated in Japan?

Keema curry, which uses minced meat, originated in India,

but dry curry, which is an arrengement of that, originated in Japan.

 

And this time I made keema curry. The amount of water is not too much,

but you can adjust the amount of water to your liking by adjusting the simmering time!

 

 

Ingredients

      • 1 Onion
      • Minced meat 250g
      • 1 tomato
    •       Mini tomatoes can be substituted 
      • Butter 20g
      • Yogurt 2 tablespoons
      • Ketchup 1 tablespoon
      • Worcestershire sauce 1 tablespoon
      • Soy sauce 1 tablespoon
      • Sugar 1 tablespoon
      • Salt 1 teaspoon
      • Curry powder 2 tablespoon     

        Curry powder can be replaced with 2 pieces of curry roux!!

      • Rice  as much as you like

      • frying pan
      • cutting board
      • kitchen knife
      • spoon for mixing
      • measuring spoon

 

Procedure

1.First, chop the onion and cut the tomato into bite sizw pieces.

2.Next, heat a frying pan and add butter.

3.Then, put onions in it. Fry until the onion changes color.

 4.When the onion changes color, add minced meat. 
    Then, mix well while frying until the minced meat changes color.

  5.When the minced meat changes color, add the tomatoes. Then, mix until the tomatoes are slightly soft.

6.After then, add seasonings. (yogurt, ketchup, worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, sugar, salt, curry powder)

7.Then simmer until the water that comes out at this time is gone.

8.When the water evaporates, it's done!!  Please the rice on a plate and serve the curry.

Deliciousness point 

    • Add Yogurt   

Adding yogurt makes it thicker. Use yogurt without sugar.

If you use yogurt with sugar, you need to adjust the amount of sugar.

    • Anhydrous curry   

This keema curry does not use water.

All the water that comes out is the umami ingredients from the onions and tomatoes. By condensing it, it becomes even more delicious!!

My recommended topping is the "hot spring egg". I will share the easy way to make hot spring eggs.

Ingredients

    • eggsnumber of people
    • waterso that the eggs in the pan are submerged

Procedure

1.First, put some water in a pot and bring it to a boil.

2.When it boils, turn off the heat and gently add the eggs. 

3.Then, cover immediately and leave for 10 minutes.

4.After 10 minutes, take it out with a ladle and soak it in cold water.

5.Finaly, complete by cracking the egg where you want the topping.

 

 

How to make a delicious arrangement of leftover curry

This recipe makes many curries. So I think it's good to try various arrangements with leftover curry.

Here are some ways to arrange them. Find your favorite!

 

①Sandwich

Spread mayonnaise on the bread and put sliced cheese, curry, slices cheese in that order.

When warmed up a little, the cheese melts and is delicious.

②Doria or Gratin

Put rice and curry in a heat-resistant container. Put cheese on it and drop the egg and bake it in the oven.

If you replace rice with macaroni, it becomes gratin.

③Fried Curry Gyoza

Wrap the curry in gyoza skin. I think it would be delicious with cheese. 

Once wrapped, it is fried in oil.

 

 

 This recipe is easy to make and can be made in advance. I think it's perfect for people who live alone and don't have much time.
